Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Beasty Kannegaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grappler Striking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kannegaard comes to the cage accompanied by Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beasty Kannegaard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grappler Striking!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striking lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kannegaard takes a step back to recover.
Kannegaard takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Striking keeps the fight on the outside.
Striking fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kannegaard checks it well.
Striking walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kannegaard wants to clinch.
Kannegaard takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Horrible takedown by Striking or perhaps it was just good defense by Kannegaard which made him look bad.
Striking cracks Kannegaard with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Striking clinches.
Kannegaard throws a head punch that misses.
Kannegaard throws a punch but it's blocked by Striking.
Kannegaard lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Striking manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Striking working for a triangle but Kannegaard defends it easily.
Kannegaard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Striking on the ground.
Kannegaard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Striking has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kannegaard has managed to get both his arms back between Striking's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kannegaard is posturing up here but Striking has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kannegaard tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kannegaard has to tap! Slick submission there by Striking!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Grappler Striking!
