The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Takinoshi or perhaps it was just good defense by Luis Leonardo which made him look bad.
Luis Leonardo's corner calls for a 1-2. Luis Leonardo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Luis Leonardo throws a body punch but Takinoshi moves out of range.

Takinoshi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Luis Leonardo.
Luis Leonardo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Takinoshi.
Antonio Luis Leonardo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luis Leonardo catches Takinoshi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Takinoshi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Luis Leonardo.
Luis Leonardo looks to score with a jab to the body but Takinoshi is just out of range.
Takinoshi shoots in looking for a takedown. Luis Leonardo tries to sprawl out of it but Takinoshi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Luis Leonardo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Takinoshi shoots in for a takedown but Luis Leonardo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Luis Leonardo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Takinoshi's head backwards.

Takinoshi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Luis Leonardo pinned against the cage. Luis Leonardo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Luis Leonardo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Takinoshi closes the distance and clinches up with Luis Leonardo, looking for a takedown. Takinoshi pushes Luis Leonardo against the cage but Luis Leonardo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Takinoshi is breathing heavily.
Luis Leonardo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takinoshi was well out of range. Poor timing from Luis Leonardo.
Takinoshi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Takinoshi moves out of range of the strikes.
Luis Leonardo lands with a nice body punch.

Takinoshi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Takinoshi is rocked!
Luis Leonardo cracks Takinoshi with a right hand to the side of the head.
Oh Takinoshi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takinoshi walks straight into a right hand from Luis Leonardo - that's dropped him! Luis Leonardo jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Takinoshi from any more punishment! Takinoshi complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
