The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oramo lands a nice hook to Overeem's body. Overeem takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oramo punishes Overeem's body with a nice straight punch.
Overeem fails with an attempt to clinch.
Overeem on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Oramo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Overeem looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Overeem looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Overeem misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Oramo.
Oramo dips to his left and cracks Overeem with an uppercut!
Good standup being displayed there by Oramo as he connects with a hook.
Oramo digs a good hook to Overeem's body.
Oramo moves into range and clinches up with Overeem.

Oramo manages to break the clinch.
Oramo scores with a jab to the body.
Oramo sizes up Overeem with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice body punch from Oramo.
Oramo connects with a single shot there.
Oramo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Overeem stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Overeem takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Overeem takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Oramo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Overeem in his tracks.
Oramo stuns Overeem with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oramo clinches.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Oramo pushes Overeem back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Oramo has Overeem pressed against the cage.
Oramo lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Daan Overeem has been cut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Oramo.
Oramo lands a body punch.
Oramo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oramo clobbers Overeem with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nice shot lands for Oramo.
Oramo connects with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oramo cracks Overeem with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Oramo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Overeem to stand back up!
Overeem is rocked!
Oramo finds Overeem's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Overeem flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Oramo lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Overeem will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Markku Oramo!
