The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anichebe misses with a hook. Kenny ducked under it nicely.

Anichebe is squirming around, avoiding Kenny's attempts to control the action.
Kenny connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kenny has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anichebe is wriggling around trying to escape.

Kenny has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Anichebe's face.
Kenny tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Anichebe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anichebe's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kenny postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Anichebe in real trouble here! The ref calls for Anichebe to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
