The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Thomas pushes Jones against the ropes but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thomas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thomas.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thomas can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jones has control of Thomas's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thomas regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Jones! Submission of the night perhaps?
