Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Ung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taye Silcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silcic has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks-Kublai Khan as his entrance music. Kevin Ung has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ung gets a takedown into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Ung will probably get the nod.

and Silcic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Kevin Ung has been cut.
Silcic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ung swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ung throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silcic was covering up waiting for the punch and Ung finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Silcic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ung has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Silcic throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ung escapes and throws Silcic's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Ung thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Silcic gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Ung lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Silcic wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Ung lands a shot to the head.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Ung controlling the positon.

Ung has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Silcic.
Silcic tries to roll but Ung sticks to his back.
Ung is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Silcic just trying to survive but Ung is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Ung just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Silcic tries to clinch but Ung is having none of it.

Ung instigates a clinch.

Ung working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Silcic is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ung, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
