The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

PJ Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Conway swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conway tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conway to the ground. Conway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Conway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Conway throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
Jones dives in and grabs Conway's left leg, looking for a takedown. Conway pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.

Conway lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Conway.
Conway works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
