Derksen has chosen Pantera - I'm Broken as his entrance music. Mario Dusiciel had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dusiciel blocks a jab.
Derksen thuds a left hand into Dusiciel's body.
Derksen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dusiciel manages to avoid it.
Dusiciel takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Derksen throws the left hand but Dusiciel avoids the punch easily.
Derksen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Derksen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jab, jab by Derksen - just one landing.
Dusiciel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Derksen is defended easily by Dusiciel.
Dusiciel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Derksen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Derksen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dusiciel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dusiciel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dusiciel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Derksen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dusiciel looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Derksen has picked Dusiciel up and slammed him! Dusiciel can't keep hold of the triangle and Derksen manages to pass to side control!
Mario Dusiciel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
