The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shiver sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Shiver is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Shiver is defending the position.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Shiver is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shiver swivels though and keeps the full guard.
