The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaio decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kaio not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jenkins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Kaio takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jenkins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd cheers as Jenkins lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kaio doesn't seem phased though.
Kaio throws a hook to the side of Jenkins's head but Jenkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jenkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kaio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jenkins throws a series of punches but Kaio moves out of range.

Kaio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jenkins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kaio decides to stand back up.
Kaio throws a leg kick but Jenkins sees it coming and moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kaio pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jenkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jenkins throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kaio shoots in but Jenkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Kaio counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kaio connects with a nice short shot to Jenkins's temple.

Kaio is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jenkins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Jenkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kaio on the ground.

Kaio decides to stand back up. Kaio steps back and let's Jenkins get back to his feet.

Kaio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jenkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kaio is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jenkins.

Kaio shoots for a takedown but Jenkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kaio feints and then cracks Jenkins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jenkins down.
Kaio throws a head kick but Jenkins moves out of range.
Jenkins slips under a jab from Kaio.

Kaio tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it.
Kaio shoots in but Jenkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jenkins uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kaio.
Jenkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters circling - Kaio throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Adilson Kaio seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jenkins throws a right and a left that Kaio avoids nicely.
Kaio scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kaio thuds his right hand into Jenkins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kaio shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Jenkins takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Kaio sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Jenkins bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
