Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck Kellerman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyler Durdan!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durdan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kellerman as he avoids it easily.
Kellerman tries to close the distance and clinch but Durdan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Durdan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kellerman manages to get to full guard.

Durdan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kellerman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Durdan defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durdan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kellerman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kellerman wants to sweep here but Durdan controlling him for the moment.
Kellerman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kellerman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kellerman pulls Durdan in to control the position.
Kellerman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Kellerman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Durdan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Durdan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kellerman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Durdan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kellerman is in Durdan's guard.

Durdan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kellerman stacks Durdan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kellerman!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kellerman wants to take a breather but Durdan is having none of it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kellerman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Durdan to the mat! Durdan manages to get full guard.

Durdan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Durdan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kellerman!
Kellerman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Durdan throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Durdan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kellerman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Durdan is surviving well by controlling Kellerman's body position as best he can.

Kellerman wants to control the pace but Durdan is squirming around nicely.

Kellerman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Durdan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Durdan sneaks back into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Durdan is trying to control the position but Kellerman postures up.

Durdan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kellerman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kellerman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chuck Kellerman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kellerman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
