Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshiro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuuken Hoshikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akiyama's entrance music is Time To Say Goodbye. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshiro Akiyama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuuken Hoshikawa!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama lands with a hook. Hoshikawa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Hoshikawa is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Hoshikawa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Akiyama kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ryuuken Hoshikawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hoshikawa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
