Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yrjo Pieru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pieru tries to score a power double leg takedown but Welch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pieru somewhat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pieru is defended easily by Welch.
Welch throws a head kick but Pieru moves out of range.
Welch throws a series of punches but Pieru avoids them all with ease.
Welch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Welch tries to bum rush Pieru with a series of wild strikes but Pieru uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pieru.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yrjo Pieru. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pieru scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Welch regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Pieru.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pieru postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Welch wants to stand but Pieru is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pieru looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Welch is fending him off so far but Pieru persists. Nope, Welch circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pieru fails with an attempt to clinch.

Welch pushes Pieru up against the cage in a clinch.

Welch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pieru tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Welch swivels and escapes.
A combination from Welch does no damage.
Pieru shoots for a takedown but Welch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pieru avoids the head kick by Welch.
Pieru shoots in but Welch avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Welch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Welch counters with a two punch combo.

and Welch counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pieru is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Welch throws a quick head kick that knocks Pieru silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Welch is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
