Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joo Gitzoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Santos.

Gitzoo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

so Santos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Gitzoo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Santos stacks Gitzoo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Santos!

Santos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Santos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gitzoo keeps working.
Gitzoo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Santos's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gitzoo is trying to maintain the position but Santos is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Santos takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Gitzoo is looking for a sweep. Santos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gitzoo is working hard here to advance position.
Gitzoo is breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Santos tries to score a body lock takedown but Gitzoo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Gitzoo jumps guard but Santos stands there with Gitzoo around his waist. Gitzoo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gitzoo is looking to control Santos's arms but Santos gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gitzoo has his back to the cage.

Santos ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Santos no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gitzoo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gitzoo is trying to move to mount but Santos reverses beautifully and ends up in Gitzoo's guard.
Gitzoo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Santos manages to get himself to full guard.
Gitzoo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gitzoo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Santos tries to hold on but Gitzoo postures up.
Gitzoo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Santos wants to control but Gitzoo is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
