Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoiji Kimitaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augusto comes to the cage accompanied by These Walls - Dream Theater. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kimitaka's choice of entrance music: i gotta feling. Shoiji Kimitaka will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimitaka shoots in but Augusto avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kimitaka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Augusto.
Kimitaka shoots in for a takedown but Augusto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Augusto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kimitaka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kimitaka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Augusto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kimitaka on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Augusto throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kimitaka was covering up waiting for the punch and Augusto finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Augusto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimitaka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Augusto has managed to get both his arms back between Kimitaka's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mario Augusto.
Well Augusto has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
