The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Framrock.
Framrock thows a body shot but no joy.
Framrock misses with a two punch combination.
Shank Framrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Framrock.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Framrock fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Framrock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Framrock misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Framrock is breathing heavily.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Framrock, who protects the arm well.
Framrock is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Framrock stops Silva from passing to mount.
Silva cracks Framrock with a big right hand but Framrock just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Framrock, who protects the arm well.

Silva is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Framrock has escaped the position, nice work there.
Framrock is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Silva drops an elbow to the side of Framrock's head.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Framrock is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Framrock manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Framrock's guard.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Framrock's guard.
Silva passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Framrock!
The referee warns Framrock that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Framrock can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Framrock is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Silva frees his head nicely. Oh but Framrock has switched to an armbar! Silva is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
