The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cowell gets the takedown into side control.
Cowell passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Fellows!
Fellows is in all sorts of trouble here.

Cowell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fellows has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Fellows is desperately trying to improve his position but Cowell has a good base and remains in mount.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Fellows has eaten all the pies!

Cowell is trying to stick to Fellows's back but Fellows is turning into Cowell. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Cowell's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fellows.

Fellows missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Fellows pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cowell is keeping the position for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fellows postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Cowell throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Fellows stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cowell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fellows drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cowell dives on top into guard.
Fellows trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Fellows isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cowell stacks Fellows on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cowell!

Fellows is looking to regain half guard here but Cowell keeps moving and retains side control.
Fellows is trying to work for a sweep but Cowell has mounted him!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cowell cracks Fellows with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Fellows is trying desperately to improve position.

Cowell jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fellows is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fellows and Cowell has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Fellows manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Fellows darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cowell wants to get back to full guard but Fellows has passed into side control.
Fellows lands a heavy elbow.
Fellows lands a big shot there that rocks Cowell but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fellows scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Cowell slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Fellows throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fellows tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fellows has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fellows working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Fellows has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cowell is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fellows yanks on the arm and Cowell is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fellows.
