Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaque Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brandon Vera was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vera gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Freeman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Freeman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Freeman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Freeman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freeman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Freeman throws a strike but Vera rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Vera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vera wants to get up but he can't break Freeman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Freeman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Vera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Freeman swivels and escapes.

Freeman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Freeman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vera on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Freeman shoots for a double leg takedown but Vera sprawls well. He's pushed Freeman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Freeman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vera pinned against the cage. Vera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Vera has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Freeman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vera for as long as he can get away with.

Vera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Freeman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Freeman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vera works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Freeman looking to sit in guard and control but Vera gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Vera decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Freeman, up you get!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Freeman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
