Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rolls Romo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bon Jovi - Wanted Dead Or Alive. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Rolls Romo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Travis Taylor!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Taylor dives in and grabs Romo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Romo pushes down on Taylor's head and hops out.

Taylor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Taylor postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Romo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Taylor's guard.
Taylor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Romo is one step ahead there.
Romo stays in close to Taylor's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Taylor controls Romo momentarily but Romo frees himself.
Romo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Romo wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.
Taylor can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Romo controls the pace.

Taylor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Romo manages to get himself to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Romo is pulling down on Taylor's head to control his posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rolls Romo.
Romo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taylor was well out of range. Poor timing from Romo.
Romo tries to clinch but Taylor is having none of it.
Romo looks to score with a jab to the body but Taylor is just out of range.

Taylor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Romo pinned against the cage. Romo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Taylor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Romo finds it's way round the side to connect with Taylor's head.
Romo throws a lazy right hand but Taylor sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Romo. Taylor does a little dance to reset his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches up with Romo, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes Romo against the cage but Romo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A looping hook to the body misses from Romo. Taylor does a little dance to reset his feet.
Romo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taylor.

Romo throws a hook to the side of Taylor's head but Taylor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Romo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Romo wants it to stay on the feet.
Rolls Romo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Taylor.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Romo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.
Romo takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Romo throws the left hand but Taylor avoids the punch easily.
Romo cracks Taylor with a good jab.
Taylor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Romo's waist but Romo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taylor off to one side.
Taylor tries for a takedown but Romo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Romo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.
Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown. Romo tries to sprawl out of it but Taylor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Romo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A slow jab from Romo misses its intended target.

Romo takes a swing at Taylor's ribcage but misses.

Romo instigates a clinch.
Romo misses with a punch on the inside.
Romo lands a nice uppercut.

Taylor goes for a takedown in the clinch but Romo prevents it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Taylor has Romo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Romo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Romo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Taylor takes an elbow to the temple.
Romo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Taylor.
Taylor is trying to drag Romo to the mat but Romo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Romo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Taylor's defenses.
With the fighters up against the cage, Romo throws an elbow but misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Taylor drops down looking for an ankle pick but Romo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rolls Romo dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Taylor takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Horrible takedown by Taylor or perhaps it was just good defense by Romo which made him look bad.
Romo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taylor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Romo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Taylor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Romo moves into full guard.
Romo is pulling down on Taylor's head to control his posture.
Taylor throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Romo wants to sweep here but Taylor controlling him for the moment.

Taylor working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Taylor is looking to work some ground and pound but Romo has wrist control.
Romo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Romo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Taylor is not content to let Romo control the position.
Romo prevents Taylor from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Romo stalling.
Romo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Taylor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Romo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Taylor knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Still in half guard, Romo seems content to control.
Taylor tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Romo has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Romo is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Romo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taylor paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Romo as he jumps to the side.

Romo misses the shot to the body.
Romo stuffs the takedown.
Romo tries to close the distance and clinch but Taylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A right-left combo lands from Romo.
Romo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Taylor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rolls Romo showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Romo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
