Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ADAM ROBLES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying ROBLES's choice of entrance music: WHO LET THE DOGS OUT. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei is looking to clinch.

Lei moves into range and clinches up with ROBLES.
Lei manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

ROBLES pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
ROBLES takes one to the chin there.

Lei closes the distance and clinches.
Lei pushes off an throws an elbow but ROBLES leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Lei is trying to break the clinch but ROBLES is controlling him.
ROBLES goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lei prevents it.
Lei goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
ROBLES tries to stall but Lei uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Lei pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lei stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lei wants it to stay on the feet.

ROBLES shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

ROBLES shoots in for a takedown but Lei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lei pushes ROBLES away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, ROBLES gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lei closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lei pushes ROBLES back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lei lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Lei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and ROBLES counters with a nice leg kick.

ROBLES shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lei manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as ROBLES accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

ROBLES lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Lei is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by ROBLES.

ROBLES is trying to drag Lei to the mat but Lei just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lei tries to clinch
and ROBLES counters with a nice body kick.
ROBLES closes the distance and clinches up with Lei, looking for a takedown. ROBLES pushes Lei against the cage but Lei circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lei dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on ROBLES. That did some damage!

ROBLES shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lei's guard.
ROBLES cracks Lei with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lei clinches but ROBLES breaks the clinch
and Lei takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, ROBLES cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
ROBLES lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Lei's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
ROBLES tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
ROBLES looking to control but Lei is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
ROBLES lands a big shot there that rocks Lei but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Frito Lei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
ADAM ROBLES is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
