Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Baumgartner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkins turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Atkins changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Baumgartner is looking to land body kicks.

Baumgartner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Atkins, pushing him back against the cage.
Atkins keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Baumgartner's efforts to push away.

Baumgartner has picked Atkins up - he's going for a ride! Baumgartner dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Atkins is controlling Baumgartner's trapped leg to prevent Baumgartner from advancing to side control.

Atkins wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Atkins has his foot on Baumgartner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Baumgartner works his way back into a safe position though.

Atkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baumgartner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Atkins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Atkins is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Baumgartner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Atkins is landing with some decent strikes but Baumgartner is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Atkins goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Baumgartner turns into him and now he's in Atkins's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Greg Atkins.

Atkins lands a left hand that snaps the head of Baumgartner backwards.

Atkins prevents Baumgartner from getting back to his feet.

Atkins dives in and grabs Baumgartner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baumgartner pushes down on Atkins's head and hops out.

Atkins looks up at the clock and then as Baumgartner takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Atkins smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Atkins is looking to take a break and control but Baumgartner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Atkins decides to stand up, so the ref orders Baumgartner to his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Atkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Atkins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
