Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Podogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murilo Lopes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopes throws the kick towards the body but Podogo avoids it.

Podogo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Lopes is looking for a sweep. Podogo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lopes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Podogo defends well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Podogo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lopes because Podogo loaded up on that one.

Podogo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
