Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Hernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus North!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez tries to clinch up.
Hernandez tries to score a power double leg takedown but North sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hernandez somewhat.
North throws a head kick but Hernandez moves out of range.
Hernandez throws a sloppy head kick
and North makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Hernandez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and North counters with a right hand to the body.
North misses with a head kick.
Hernandez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hernandez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Hernandez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hernandez tries to clinch up but North circles away and keeps his distance.

letting North counter with a right hand.
Hernandez is breathing heavily.
Hernandez misses with a takedown
and North counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hernandez! North lets Hernandez back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Hernandez is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
North lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Hernandez crumples to the floor! North milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
