Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Uriah Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath comes to the cage accompanied by Asche zu Asche. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uriah Heath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Heath really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Horrible takedown by Heath or perhaps it was just good defense by Stevens which made him look bad.

Heath fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stevens sprawls well initially but Heath persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stevens strikes from the bottom but Heath uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Stevens is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heath is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stevens is just riding it out for now. Heath eventually gives up the hold.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Heath tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stevens knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Heath paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Heath moves out of range of the strikes.
Heath shoots for a takedown but Stevens saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stevens has his takedown stuffed

and Heath counters with a takedown into side control.

Stevens walks into a stiff left hand from Heath.
Heath with a poor takedown

and Stevens counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Heath won't allow Stevens to pass to mount.

Stevens working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Stevens wants to stand and escape but instead Heath has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Stevens is looking for a triangle but Heath pushes his legs off easily.

Heath has gone for a leg lock! Stevens slips out almost immediately though and dives into Heath's guard.
Uriah Heath overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Heath keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully.
Stevens is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Stevens wants to control from the top but Heath keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Heath not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
