The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charnelhaus shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hume defends it nicely.
Charnelhaus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hume pinned against the cage. Hume gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Charnelhaus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
James Hume has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksander Charnelhaus.
Charnelhaus shoots in but no luck this time.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Charnelhaus is defended easily by Hume.
Hume scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Charnelhaus doesn't seem bothered though.

Charnelhaus goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hume prevents it.
Charnelhaus tries to score a body lock takedown but Hume shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Charnelhaus is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hume pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hume lands a knee to the head.
Hume connects with a knee to the head.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hume obliges.

Charnelhaus is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hume jerks Charnelhaus's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Charnelhaus drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Hume goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Hume because Charnelhaus was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
