Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Lankari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lankari has chosen MIchael Mann - Fort Battle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leandro Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hans Lankari!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lankari throws a nice head kick!

Lankari gets the takedown into side control.
Silva pushes Lankari away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lankari gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Lankari wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.

Lankari is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lankari is trying to get an arm triangle but Silva is defending well.

Lankari remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lankari cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lankari decides to stand back up. Lankari steps back and let's Silva get back to his feet.

Silva is looking to clinch.
Lankari looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Lankari persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.

Lankari shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lankari explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
No joy there for Lankari, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lankari fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lankari misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hans Lankari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Silva tries to bum rush Lankari with a series of wild strikes but Lankari uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lankari dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Lankari's head and hops out.

Silva leaves Lankari with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Lankari counters with an inside leg kick.
Lankari misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lankari throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Hans Lankari will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Silva moves in looking to clinch but Lankari pushes him off.

and Lankari takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
