Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Wiggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Spliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Wiggin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Spliff!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiggin dives in and grabs Spliff's left leg, looking for a takedown. Spliff pushes down on Wiggin's head and hops out.
Wiggin tries to clinch up but Spliff circles away and keeps his distance.

Wiggin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
An elbow from Wiggin crashes against the mat.
Wiggin lands some shots froms side control.
Spliff sneaks back into half guard.
Ground and pound from Wiggin.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wiggin connects with a nice short shot to Spliff's temple.

Wiggin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wiggin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Spliff does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wiggin tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Spliff.
Wiggin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wiggin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Spliff is staying active underneath Wiggin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Spliff looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Wiggin wants to take a breather but Spliff is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wiggin is just content to waste time from the top position. Spliff takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wiggin passes Spliff's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wiggin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Wiggin gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Spliff circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wiggin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wiggin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Wiggin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wiggin is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Spliff looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Wiggin wants to take a breather but Spliff is having none of it.
Spliff is breathing heavily.
Wiggin tries to stand and escape but Spliff is controlling the position.

Wiggin wants to control but Spliff is keeping him busy.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Wiggin missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Wiggin wants to take a breather but Spliff is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Wiggin.

Wiggin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wiggin showed some decent athleticism there.

Wiggin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spliff doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wiggin.

Wiggin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Wiggin is trying to control the action in half guard but Spliff is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Wiggin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wiggin maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Spliff could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Wiggin has cracked it and Spliff is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Wiggin!
