The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Foster but Foster pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Almeida tries to clinch there but Foster circles away.
Foster darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Almeida trying to hold on to Foster's head to control him but Foster postures up.
Almeida is looking for a sweep. Foster is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Foster wants to control but Almeida is keeping him busy.
Almeida looking for a kimura from the bottom but Foster passes into side control!
Foster is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Almeida has escaped the position, nice work there.
Foster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Foster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Almeida is trying to get back to half guard.

Foster tries for a kimura but Almeida is defending well.
Foster has hold of Almeida's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Almeida tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Foster cranks the arm and Almeida screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Almeida, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
