The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heiwajima tries to clinch but Bananko is having none of it.
Shizuo Heiwajima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bananko takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Branko Bananko has been cut.
Bananko swats away the attempt to clinch by Heiwajima.
Heiwajima moves in looking to clinch but Bananko pushes him off.
Heiwajima is looking to slow Bananko down with leg kicks.
Heiwajima tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Heiwajima displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bananko.
Heiwajima throws a leg kick which misses Bananko's front leg but catches the back leg as Bananko tries to avoid it.
Bananko looks gassed!

Heiwajima misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Heiwajima rushes Bananko with punches - Bananko moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Bananko goes down! Heiwajima follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
