Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King Marvin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilson Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, King Marvin!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Marvin.
Wilson Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marvin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marvin wants it to stay on the feet.

Marvin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Marvin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waters keeps working.

Waters tries to buck Marvin off but Marvin is having none of it.
Marvin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No joy there for Marvin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Waters shoots and misses
and Marvin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Marvin misses with a looping right.
Waters doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Marvin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilson Waters. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Waters uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marvin.
Marvin scores with a punch to the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Waters. Marvin does a little dance to reset his feet.

Waters shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Marvin is trying to get back to full guard.
Marvin wants to control but Waters is keeping busy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Waters working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Waters lands a nice short elbow.
Marvin is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Marvin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marvin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marvin.

Marvin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Marvin wants to control from the top but Waters keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Marvin dominated that round.
That's time! Waters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Marvin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Marvin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Marvin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Marvin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Waters is now in Marvin's guard. A big mistake from Marvin there, giving up the dominant position!

King Marvin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Marvin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Waters is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marvin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marvin's back!

Marvin grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Marvin turns into Waters and is now in his guard.

Marvin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Marvin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Waters is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Waters utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Marvin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Waters tries to roll over but Marvin keeps him under control.
Marvin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Waters is trying to stick to Marvin's back but Marvin is turning into Waters. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Waters's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Marvin.

King Marvin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Marvin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
