PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lu Bu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Fabiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabiano has chosen Sérgio Mendes - Batucada as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bu tries to clinch up.
Bu misses with a series of wild punches.

Bu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fabiano doesn't manage to clinch there - Bu circles away.

Fabiano has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Fabiano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bu lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Fabiano or not.
Fabiano can't find room to land a body shot as Bu controls the action.
Fabiano tries to pull guard but Bu holds him up against the cage and eventually Fabiano drops back down to his feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fabiano is defended easily by Bu.
Bu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fabiano circles away quickly and effectively.

Fabiano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fabiano tries to move to mount but Bu blocks the move with his legs.
Bu avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fabiano.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fabiano is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bu looks calm but he's in trouble here. Fabiano gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bu is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Fabiano lets go of the hold and Bu can pop his arm back in it's socket.
