Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl The Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by The Used - The Taste Of Ink. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl The Crusher!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The Crusher keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Hunter wants to work for an arm triangle but The Crusher is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Crusher is defending against the submission attempts here by Hunter.
The Crusher pushes Hunter off looking to stand but Hunter dives back in and keeps control.
The Crusher is trying to maintain the position but Hunter is very close to passing his half guard.

Hunter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The Crusher doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hunter.

Hunter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Crusher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hunter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so The Crusher is just riding it out for now. Hunter eventually gives up the hold.

Hunter looking for a submission but The Crusher manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hunter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Crusher is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hunter, into his guard.

The Crusher is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hunter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hunter has escaped and now he's on top!

Hunter drops back, looking for a kneebar! The Crusher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. The Crusher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from The Crusher!

The Crusher looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The Crusher tries to move to mount but Hunter blocks the move with his legs.
The Crusher cracks Hunter with a big right hand but Hunter just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The Crusher throwing strikes but Hunter manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Hunter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by The Crusher, who protects the arm well.

Hunter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hunter is breathing heavily.

Hunter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, The Crusher has escaped the position, nice work there.
The Crusher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hunter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The Crusher is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hunter is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Roy Hunter will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hunter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but The Crusher was well out of range. Poor timing from Hunter.
Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hunter wants to pass the guard but The Crusher is keeping the position.
The Crusher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunter is one step ahead there.

Hunter drops back, looking for a kneebar! The Crusher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. The Crusher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from The Crusher!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The Crusher cracks Hunter with a big right hand but Hunter just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hunter prevents The Crusher from improving position.
The Crusher throwing strikes but Hunter manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The Crusher is looking for a sweep.

Hunter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but The Crusher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The Crusher might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hunter kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The Crusher looks to land a right hand but Hunter moved out of range.
The Crusher throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hunter connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The Crusher throws a right hand that Hunter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunter also avoids with ease.
Hunter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but The Crusher was well out of range. Poor timing from Hunter.
The Crusher is looking to clinch but Hunter is avoiding it.
Roy Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hunter fails with the takedown

and The Crusher counters with a single leg into guard. Hunter didn't expect that.

Hunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Crusher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hunter working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. The Crusher turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hunter off and cradles The Crusher's limp body as Hunter celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Roy Hunter!
