The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nkuwu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Fox.
Fox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nkuwu tries to move into range but Fox moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Gedeon Nkuwu has been cut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nkuwu throws an elbow but Fox slips to the side and avoids it well.
Fox is not content to let Nkuwu control the position.
Fox parries the strikes from Nkuwu easily there. Nkuwu is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fox to escape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fox closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nkuwu to the mat! Nkuwu manages to get full guard.
Fox postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Fox got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nkuwu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fox has managed to get both his arms back between Nkuwu's legs - danger averted.

Horrible takedown by Fox or perhaps it was just good defense by Nkuwu which made him look bad.
