Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ma Chao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Stanzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ma Chao has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ma Chao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Stanzi!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanzi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chao's waist but Chao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stanzi off to one side.

Stanzi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Stanzi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Chao tries to escape but Stanzi is in control.
Chao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stanzi on the ground.

Stanzi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chao knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Stanzi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Stanzi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stanzi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Stanzi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chao is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Stanzi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chao pushes Stanzi away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stanzi gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Stanzi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chao has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Chao moves into range and clinches up with Stanzi.
A head punch on the inside from Chao fails to land.

Chao misses with a hook from the clinch.
Chao doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Stanzi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chao gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Chao throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Stanzis head.
Stanzi is still on wobbly legs! Can Chao finish him?
Chao creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Stanzi's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Stanzi drops to his knees and Chao pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
