Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

French gets a takedown into half guard.

French is working for a submission of some sort.

Cd has one foot on French's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Cd swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cd lands with a nice body kick.
Good leg kick by Cd there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Cd takes the fight into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by French.

Cd manages to break the clinch.
Cd fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Cd has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cd lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Clay French has been cut.
French has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cd is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cd throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but French blocks it with crossed arms.
Cd putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has French in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
French is trying to break the clinch but Cd has him pressed against the cage.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cd connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Cd fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and French has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

A solid leg kick lands there for Cd.
Cd stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

French drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cd gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
French sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Cd dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on French. That did some damage!

Cd moves into the clinch.
French wants to get back to striking at distance but Cd won't allow it.
Cd using the Thai plumb to throw knees but French has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cd lands a shoulder strike.
Cd lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt French or not.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

French throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
French throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cd counters with a head kick.
French takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cd takes the fight into the clinch.
Cd with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
A right handed body shot lands from Cd.
Still in the clinch, Cd scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cd lands with a light punch inside.
Cd lands a shot to the body.

Cd tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
French stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cd.
French moves out of range of the body kick from Cd.

French takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Cd throws a poor cross that misses
and French connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cd lands a nice leg kick that just misses French's sensitive parts.

French is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
French throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cd pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces French back to the cage. Cd follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Clay French's cut is getting worse.
Noah Cd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cd lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cd takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cd thuds his shin into the meat of French's side.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

French slips a jab from Cd.
Cd will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
French shoots in looking for a takedown but Cd manages to keep the fight standing, pushing French's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! French crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cd - the referee stops the clock and French gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cd. French manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
