Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Minakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minakov comes to the cage accompanied by Terror-Keep Your Mouth Shut. Sanchez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by T.N.T BY AC/DC. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minakov avoids a kick to the body.
Minakov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sanchez circles away quickly and effectively.
Minakov throws a right and a left that both miss.

Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Andrey Minakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Minakov is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Minakov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
BOOM! Sanchez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sanchez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sanchez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Minakov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanchez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Minakov's face.
