Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

evans has managed to clinch.
Vrbanek has had enough of the clinch but evans keeps him there for the moment.
evans tries for a takedown. No joy.

Vrbanek turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Vrbanek throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Vrbanek content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
evans can't do much from the bottom here.
Vrbanek wants to lay and pray for a moment but evans keeps working.
Vrbanek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
evans stops Vrbanek from passing to mount.
evans tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Vrbanek easily slips into full mount!

evans takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
evans is in all sorts of trouble here.

Vrbanek is landing with some decent strikes but evans is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Vrbanek's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Vrbanek duly obliges.

Vrbanek forces evans back against the cage and clinches.
evans is still on wobbly legs! Can Vrbanek finish him?
Vrbanek really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vrbanek has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles evans - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Vrbanek, and another! evans is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
