Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ron Burgundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Devon Wheaton!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wheaton cracks Burgundy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nice shot lands for Burgundy.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wheaton.
Burgundy avoids a punch combination nicely.

Wheaton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burgundy throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burgundy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Burgundy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wheaton is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Burgundy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wheaton.

Wheaton shoots in for a double leg but Burgundy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Burgundy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wheaton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Burgundy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wheaton quickly recovers to half guard.

Burgundy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wheaton is just riding it out for now. Burgundy eventually gives up the hold.
Burgundy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Burgundy is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Burgundy extends the arm and Wheaton is forced to tap!
