Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brookins comes to the ring accompanied by Good Morning - Kanye West. Hugo Gracie struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brookins looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Gracie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Brookins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brookins defends it nicely.
Brookins scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Hugo Gracie has been cut.

Brookins drops Gracie with a left right combo! Brookins follows him down to the ground into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brookins decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Brookins darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Brookins lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Gracie sprawling to the canvas. Brookins follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Gracie hang on?

Gracie is rocked!

That has opened up Hugo Gracie's cut even more.
Gracie is in trouble now - Brookins has advanced to mount!

Gracie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Brookins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Brookins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Brookins.
Brookins scores with the left hand. Gracie knows he should have avoided that one.
Gracie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Brookins swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Brookins drops Gracie with a right and a left! Brookins comes rushing in but Gracie regains his composure and manages to keep Brookins in guard.
Gracie is still in real trouble! Can Brookins finish him?

The cut above Hugo Gracie's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Brookins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gracie is working an open guard so Brookins takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gracie seems to have recovered his senses.
Brookins lands a jab to the nose.

Hugo Gracie's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hugo Gracie's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
