Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Jennings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhodri Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jennings comes into the arena with Ruff Ryders' Anthem blaring out of the sound system. Xavier Jennings has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Jennings misses.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up with Jennings, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes Jennings against the cage but Jennings circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jennings shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jennings gets slowly back to his feet.

Williams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jennings to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jennings slows the pace down.

Jennings is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Williams has escaped the position, nice work there.
Williams struggling a bit here.
Williams tries to strike but it doesn't land.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

A chopping leg kick lands by Jennings.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt
and Jennings connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Williams pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Jennings gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Williams is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jennings gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Jennings has hold of one of Williams's legs. Williams is fighting the takedown attempt but Jennings gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jennings connects with a nice short shot to Williams's temple.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jennings is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jennings tries to lock up and control but Williams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee warns Jennings that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jennings wants to control but Williams is having none of it.
Rhodri Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Xavier Jennings is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
