Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vay Krenshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Drake Star!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Star fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Krenshaw sprawls well initially but Star persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Star shoots in looking for a takedown. Krenshaw tries to sprawl out of it but Star keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krenshaw manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Star takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Krenshaw throws a right and a left that Star avoids nicely.
Krenshaw connects with a right hand. Star shakes it off.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Krenshaw moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

The cut above Drake Star's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Krenshaw lands a jab to the nose.

Star displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Krenshaw throws out the jab.
Krenshaw is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Star changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Krenshaw tries to avoid it but Star manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Krenshaw to the ground. Krenshaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vay Krenshaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drake Star.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Star moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Krenshaw throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Star stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Star accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Krenshaw is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Star can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Krenshaw goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Star turns into him and now he's in Krenshaw's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Krenshaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
