The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjorn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Bjorn duly obliges.

It looks like bruce chan has been cut.
Bjorn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
chan avoids a punch combination nicely.
chan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bjorn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
chan misses with a two punch combination.
Bjorn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Sigmund Bjorn has been cut.
chan misses the shot to the body.
Bjorn works over chan's head and body with a nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

chan scores with a sloppy right hand. Bjorn should have avoided that one.
chan misses with a hook. Bjorn ducked under it nicely.
Bjorn lands with an overhand left.

That has opened up bruce chan's cut even more.

Bjorn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
bruce chan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bjorn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if chan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
chan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bjorn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nice body punch from Bjorn.
chan looks gassed!

Bjorn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for chan!
Bjorn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at bruce chan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
