Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vera Couture!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Yelton!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture throws a quick inside leg kick.
Couture moves into range and clinches up with Yelton.
Yelton tries to pull guard but Couture holds him up against the cage and eventually Yelton drops back down to his feet.
Yelton drags the fight down to the ground.
Couture working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Couture knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yelton on the ground.
Yelton is looking to sinch up a triangle. Couture throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Yelton's body to avoid the submission. Yelton has instead reached around Couture's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Yelton arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
