The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinlan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aldo as he jumps to the side.

Quinlan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aldo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Quinlan somewhat.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Quinlan. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Quinlan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Aldo escapes and throws Quinlan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
