Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Mossey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Flamebeard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mossey closes the distance and clinches up with Flamebeard, looking for a takedown. Mossey pushes Flamebeard against the cage but Flamebeard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Flamebeard stuffs the takedown.
Flamebeard jabs Mossey right on the nose. Mossey blinks but takes it well.

Mossey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Flamebeard sprawls well initially but Mossey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mossey is trying to work for a kimura but Flamebeard is defending well.
Mossey is pressing down on Flamebeard's thigh, looking to free his foot. Flamebeard is holding on for now.

Mossey is working for a submission of some sort.

Mossey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mossey has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Flamebeard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Flamebeard wants to get back to striking at distance but Mossey won't allow it.

Flamebeard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mossey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Flamebeard tries to avoid it but Mossey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Flamebeard to the ground. Flamebeard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Flamebeard ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Mossey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mossey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Flamebeard has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mossey has hold of Flamebeard's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Flamebeard tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mossey cranks the arm and Flamebeard screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Flamebeard, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
