PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between For Shure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Jewtuszko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jewtuszko has chosen The Rolling Stones - Paint it black as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shure is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jewtuszko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jewtuszko avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shure slaps away a takedown attempt from Jewtuszko, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Jewtuszko counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Shure is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jewtuszko is controlling him.
Shure pulls Jewtuszko in close to prevent any damage.

Jewtuszko wants to control from the top but Shure keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shure has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jewtuszko off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jewtuszko drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jewtuszko passes Shure's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Shure tries to kick Jewtuszko off but Jewtuszko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jewtuszko seems to be looking for submissions.
Jewtuszko is keen to just control but Shure is a slippery customer.
Shure won't allow Jewtuszko to pass to mount.
Shure is staying active underneath Jewtuszko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Shure tries to get to full guard but Jewtuszko has control of the leg.
Jewtuszko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Jewtuszko wants to work for an arm triangle but Shure is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Shure manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Shure is breathing heavily.
Jewtuszko fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shure looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jewtuszko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shure avoids it really well and circles away.

Jewtuszko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Jewtuszko swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Shure is now in Jewtuszko's guard. A big mistake from Jewtuszko there, giving up the dominant position!

Shure decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jewtuszko, up you get!
For Shure seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shure tries a head kick but it misses.
Jewtuszko dives in and grabs Shure's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shure pushes down on Jewtuszko's head and hops out.
For Shure has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcin Jewtuszko.

Jewtuszko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shure is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Shure scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Jewtuszko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jewtuszko is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Shure is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
