Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. RAPE ME kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Walter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk stuffs the takedown attempt from Walter. Walter gets slowly back to his feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hawk.
Hawk misses with a wild combination.
Hawk fails in his attempt to clinch.
Walter moves out of range of the strikes.
Hawk tries to clinch but Walter moves out of range.
Hawk tries to close the distance and clinch but Walter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walter misses with a takedown attempt - Hawk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hawk wants to clinch up but Walter keeps it at a distance.

Hawk misses with a wild combination.
Hawk throws a head kick but Walter moves out of range.
Hawk looks to land a combination but Walter avoids it well.
Walter swats away the attempt to clinch by Hawk.
Hawk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hawk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Walter pulls his head out easily.
Well, if Walter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hawk is defending against the submission attempts here by Walter.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Walter is trying to control the action in half guard but Hawk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Walter will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Walter tries for a takedown but Hawk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hawk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hawk goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Hawk throws a nice looking combination but Walter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mike Hawk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Walter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hawk avoids it really well and circles away.

Mike Hawk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Walter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hawk is looking to reverse the position.

Walter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Walter goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hawk has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Walter but great work by Hawk.

Walter is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hawk connects with a decent elbow.
Hawk moves into full mount!
Hawk raining down shots from the mount!
Hawk looking to control but Walter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hawk is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Walter can't escape the position.
Hawk scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Walter?
Walter is looking to get to half guard.

Mike Hawk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hawk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
