Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between tomas fonacier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ran Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). fonacier comes to the cage accompanied by Rush. Sakamoto has chosen Wu tang tiger style as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakamoto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as fonacier sprawls well. fonacier wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sakamoto gets slowly back to his feet.

and Sakamoto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
fonacier will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Sakamoto got a little sloppy there for a moment and fonacier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sakamoto has managed to get both his arms back between fonacier's legs - danger averted.

Sakamoto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sakamoto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sakamoto drops back, looking for a kneebar! fonacier looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. fonacier looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from fonacier!
