Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dog Spider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackie Chun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dog Spider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jackie Chun!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spider wants to clinch.
Chun tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spider swivels and escapes.
Chun shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spider sprawls well. Spider wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chun gets slowly back to his feet.
Chun dives in and grabs Spider's left leg, looking for a takedown. Spider pushes down on Chun's head and hops out.
Dog Spider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie Chun.

Spider closes the distance and clinches.
Chun changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Spider fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chun fails to land the takedown.
Spider pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chun throws a right and a left that both miss.
Spider is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Chun shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chun was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Spider bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Chun has a closed guard, preventing Spider from standing up.

Chun thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Chun has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Spider not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Spider has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Chun is proving hard to escape from.
Chun lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Spider!
Chun thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Chun looking to control but Spider is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Chun lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Spider is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Spider tries to reverse the position but Chun maintains control.
Spider is squirming around, avoiding Chun's attempts to control the action.
Chun looking to finish Spider with some ground and pound. This is bad for Spider!
Spider tries to lock up and control but Chun gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spider holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Chun tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Spider tries to buck Chun off but he can't manage it.
Chun content just to control the position here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackie Chun dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Chun bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Spider managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chun.
Spider tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chun wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Spider knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chun on the ground.
Spider wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Spider is pushing Chun's head away, looking to escape. Chun manages to hold on to the position though.

Chun working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Spider dodges the ground and pound from Chun.

Chun landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Spider tries to improve position but can't.
You can see the frustration on Spider's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Chun is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Spider is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Chun works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Spider tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chun wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Chun is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Spider sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Spider wants to get back to his feet.
Chun throwing shots but Spider is blocking nicely.

Spider on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Spider tries to get out of the position.
Chun throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Spider is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Chun jumps into side control!
Spider is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Chun has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Spider is trying to control Chun's posture but Chun avoids it.
The strikes coming from Chun are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Spider is not content to let Chun control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chun grinds an elbow into Spider's temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chun tries to score with some ground and pound. Spider controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Spider parries the strikes from Chun easily there. Chun is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Spider to escape.
Chun wants to control but Spider is keeping him busy.
Spider is working to avoid the ground and pound but Chun connects with a decent elbow.
Chun wants to control for a moment but Spider uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackie Chun showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Chun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Horrible takedown by Chun or perhaps it was just good defense by Spider which made him look bad.
Dog Spider is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Spider lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Chun shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spider's guard.
Chun stops Spider from standing up.
Spider trying to keep a closed guard but Chun is proving a slippery customer.
Chun prevents Spider from getting back to his feet.
Chunis looking to pass into half guard but Spider pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Spider is in guard.
Spider wants to stand but Chun is controlling his posture from full guard.
Chun takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Spider pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chun is keeping the position for now.

Chun looking for subs off his back but Spider has passed one foot through into half guard.
Spider seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Spider moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Chun.
Spider tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Chun is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Spider is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Chun is desperately trying to improve his position but Spider has a good base and remains in mount.
Chun is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Spider controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chun is looking to get to half guard.
Dog Spider has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Spider blocks Chun's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chun wants to hold on but Spider pushes him away.
Chun is trying desperately to improve position.
Chun avoids a series of strikes thrown by Spider.
Chun wants to hold on but Spider pushes him away.
A nice elbow there by Spider.
Chun tries to control Spider's body but Spider pushes him off. Chun squirms to his side and now Spider has his back!
Chun covering up well and avoiding damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dog Spider showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Chun has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
