The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Robinson lands with a shot to the body.
Lapointe is breathing heavily.
A head kick misses from Robinson.
Robinson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lapointe looks for a takedown but Robinson sprawls well.
Lapointe on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Robinson. Robinson obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Some wild striking there from Robinson.
Robinson fails to land with a series of punches.
Robinson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lapointe shoots in and bounces Robinson off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Lapointe stopping the sweep attempt from Robinson.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Lapointe throws a big right hand that misses.

Lapointe works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Robinson is trying to get back to full guard.
Lapointe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lapointe trying to pass the guard but Robinson defending well.

Lapointe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lapointe is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Robinson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Lapointe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Robinson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lapointe wants to free his trapped foot but Robinson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Lapointe has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Robinson finds it's way round the side to connect with Lapointe's head.
Robinson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Robinson lands with a cross.


Lapointe is rocked!
Robinson fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Lapointe to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Lapointe looks to clinch but Robinson throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Lapointe taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jeff Robinson!
